The AMA Brains Olympiad is an annual academic competition organized by the AMA Education System (AMAES). It serves as a platform to recognize and reward academic excellence among senior high school students from various AMAES Partner Schools nationwide. By fostering a culture of intellectual curiosity and competitive spirit, the AMA Brains Olympiad aims to inspire students to strive for academic excellence and the pursuit of knowledge.
This year’s competition (2025) will highlight the increasing role of technology in modern society, emphasizing its impact on various fields of study. It will be dubbed as “AMA BRAINS OLYMPIAD : THE IT EDITION”. Hence, questions during the competition will be about the field of information technology and other related subject areas.
FORMAT
The AMA Brains Olympiad will consist of three (3) rounds : National Eliminations , Semi-Finals and the National Finals.
The National Eliminations will be held simultaneously in local campuses of AMAES using an online platform . The top 50 highest scoring teams in the National Eliminations will advance to the Semi-Finals.
The Semi-Finals will also be conducted simultaneously in local campuses of AMAES using an online platform . The top 10 highest scoring teams will advance to the National Finals.
The National Finals will be held face-to-face in a venue within Metro Manila.

GENERAL PARTICIPATION GUIDELINES
Schools and Contestants’
The contestants must be bona fide students from Grade 11 to Grade 12 of a public or private school who shall carry the name of their respective schools.
There shall be a maximum of four (4) participants per school, in which three (3) can compete per round. The other one will be considered as a substitute.
Qualified contestants must bring and present a photocopy or an original copy of a valid school identification card during the registration. In the absence of which, a certification from the School Head must be secured to confirm the contestant’s enrollment to that school.
Substitution’
In cases where the official school representative may not be able to compete, a substitute contestant may take his/her place.
The name of the substitute contestant must be declared on the registration sheet to be signed and submitted on the day of the competition.
The substitute must be a bona fide student from Grade 11 to Grade 12 of the same public or private school.
The substitute must bring and present a photocopy or an original copy of a valid school identification card during the registration. In the absence of which, a certification from the School Head must be secured to confirm the contestant’s belongingness to that school.
Coaches’
There shall be only one (1) official coach per team (preferably an adviser and/or a faculty member).
They shall be the school’s official representatives who can file protests / complaints to the Technical Committee.
They shall be the school’s official representatives who shall participate in the deliberations regarding special cases.
Registration’
Schools may register through the Admissions Office of the nearest AMAES campus.
Whether pre-registering at the nearest AMAES campus or registering on the day of the competition, the principal / school authority / coach shall reconfirm the names of their participants (including the substitute) and agree to the conditions set forth by AMA Education System (documentation and data privacy, waiver, etc.) for the conduct of the event.
Deadline of registration shall be on December 20, 2024.
