The Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)
The Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) program is designed to train highly qualified healthcare practitioners capable of addressing various medical issues. The curriculum typically spans five years, with a combination of rigorous academic instruction and hands-on clinical practice. The first few years focus on foundational sciences such as anatomy, physiology, and pathology, followed by a clinical clerkship where students rotate through different hospital departments. In the final year, students undergo an internship where they apply their knowledge in real-world healthcare settings.
Upon graduation, students can pursue various specializations, including Cardiology, Oncology, Psychiatry, Pediatrics, Gynecology, and General Practice, among others. Each of these specializations may require additional years of residency training and fellowship, particularly for complex fields like oncology and surgery.
Graduates of the M.D. program can pursue careers as:
- Resident Physicians in hospitals or clinics
- Private Practice Doctors
School or Company Physicians - Medical Consultants
Specialists in various fields after completing further residency and fellowship training.
With the increasing demand for healthcare professionals, M.D. graduates can also explore roles in medical research, government health agencies, or even medical education. This program offers a wide range of opportunities, ensuring a fulfilling career in medicine.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program is a comprehensive four-year course designed to equip students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in healthcare. The program emphasizes a strong foundation in nursing concepts combined with extensive Related Learning Experiences (RLE), which are essential for honing the competencies required of entry-level nurses. These RLEs involve real-life clinical exposure in hospitals, clinics, and community settings, allowing students to apply their learning in various healthcare scenarios.
Key Components of the Program:
Core Subjects: Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Nursing Informatics.
Nursing Specializations: Maternal & Child Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Critical Care, and Geriatric Nursing.
Clinical Practicum: Students undergo intensive on-the-job training during the final years of the program, which takes place in various healthcare settings such as hospitals and community health centers.
Career Opportunities: / Graduates of the BSN program can pursue a range of roles, such as:
- Registered Nurse in hospitals and clinics
Community Health Nurse - School Nurse
- Nurse Educator
- Clinical Nurse Specialist in areas like critical care, pediatrics, or geriatrics
- Public Health Nurse
- Nurse Manager or Administrator
To practice professionally, graduates must pass the Nurse Licensure Examination in the Philippines, which is administered by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC). This program prepares nurses not only for local healthcare roles but also for opportunities abroad, especially with the increasing demand for nurses globally.
Practical Nursing (PN)
The Practical Nursing (PN) program is designed to prepare students for entry-level roles in healthcare under the supervision of registered nurses or physicians. The program focuses on practical nursing skills, enabling students to provide basic care in settings such as hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, and home care environments.
Key areas of the program include patient care, assisting with patient mobility, collecting and maintaining medical equipment, and providing bio-psychosocial support to patients. Practical nurses are trained to assist with day-to-day medical tasks such as monitoring vital signs and administering medication under supervision.

Graduates of the Practical Nursing program can pursue roles such as:
- Nursing Attendant
- Nursing Aide
- Hospital Assistant
- Health Aide
These positions are vital in both public and private healthcare settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and community health centers
Caregiving NC II
The Caregiving NC II qualification equips individuals with the necessary skills to provide comprehensive care and support across various age groups, from infants and toddlers to the elderly and individuals with special needs. This TESDA-accredited program is designed to ensure that caregivers can assist with both daily living activities and personal care while promoting a healthy, safe, and supportive environment.
Key Competencies:
- Infant and Child Care – Providing care, support, and fostering intellectual, social, and physical development in infants, toddlers, and children.
- Elderly Care: Assisting with mobility, personal hygiene, medication administration, and emotional support for elderly patients.
- Special Needs Care: Offering personalized care and assistance to individuals with physical or cognitive disabilities.
- Household Management: Cleaning living areas, maintaining hygiene, washing and ironing clothes, and preparing meals.
- Emergency Response: Learning basic first aid, responding to emergencies, and creating a safe environment for the client.
This qualification prepares caregivers to work in a variety of settings such as private homes, care facilities, and nursing homes
Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation (BSMT)
The Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation (BSMT) is a four-year degree program that prepares students for professional careers in the maritime industry, specifically as deck officers or merchant marine officers. The program focuses on developing competencies in navigation, cargo handling, stowage, ship operation, and ensuring the safety and care of passengers and crew at the operational level.
Throughout the course, students study maritime laws, shipboard safety, environmental protection, and undergo a one-year mandatory onboard training as part of their curriculum, offering them real-world experience. This hands-on approach ensures that graduates are ready to take on various roles in the global maritime industry.
Career Opportunities:
Graduates of the BSMT program can pursue roles such as:
- Deck Officer or Navigational Officer
Seafarer (Third Mate, Second Mate) - Maritime Safety Officer
- Fleet Operations Manager
- Ship Captain (after years of experience and additional certifications)
- Coast Guard Officer
- Maritime Instructor or Trainer
The program also prepares students for licensure examinations required by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) in the Philippines, ensuring they meet national and international standards in maritime training and operations.
