Valedictorian
/ Salutatorian Entrance Scholarships
The Valedictorian/Salutatorian (VAL/SAL)
Entrance Scholarship program is a student assistance arrangement
whereby qualified freshmen students will enjoy basic tuition
fee reduction for one (1) school year of fifty percent or
one hundred percent waiver, depending on their academic achievement
from their secondary education.
Eligibility:
For new applicants:
High school graduates, whether public or private from a Department
of Education (DepED) recognized school, who obtained honors
during graduation as Valedictorian or Salutatorian. An applicant
must pass the qualifying entrance examination at any AMA Education
System school.
For renewal during the First Year:
A VAL/SAL grantee shall continuously enjoy a scholarship for
one school year during his/her Freshmen year subject to renewal
every Trimester. The grantee must at all times be enrolled
in all required academic and non-academic subjects.
A VAL/SAL grantee must obtain a grade
of no lower than 2.50 in any academic or non-academic subject
for the whole school year with General Weighted Average (GWA)
of 1.75 or better on a minimum load of fifteen (15) units
every Trimester for the entire school year.
Renewal after First Year:
A VAL/SAL grantee may enjoy continued scholarship during his/her
Sophomore to Senior years IF he or she qualifies for the competitive
Academic Excellence (ACAEX) scholarship (see separate guidelines).
