M. Aguiluz, Sr. (AMA Sr.) Scholarship Grant
The AMA Foundation Scholarship is a competitive scholarship program where qualified incoming college students enjoy one hundred percent discounts on Tuition and Laboratory fees based on their academic standings and socio-economic status.
General Criteria of Eligibility:
This scholarship is open to all poor but deserving high school graduates with 85% or higher on their general average and with 90% or above final grade in Math and Science.
Who are eligible:
For new applicants: Any incoming college freshmen student of AMA who is highly qualified and talented academically but cannot pursue higher education due to financial incapacity. An applicant must pass the competitive examination given by the AMA Foundation through the Office of Student Affairs/Student Relations Manager.
For renewal:
An AMA Foundation Scholarship grantee shall continuously enjoy scholarship for one school year subject to renewal every Trimester. A grantee must obtain a grade of no lower than 2.00 for the whole school year with General Weighted Average (GWA) of 1.50 on a minimum load of fifteen (15) units every Trimester for the entire school year.

Academic Requirement
The program is based on outstanding academic performance of the student-beneficiary on all subjects and his/her socio-economic status.
Return Service Requirement
The AMA Foundation, Inc., And AMA Education System reserves the right to require (or otherwise) the student beneficiaries of this program to undertake volunteer work with/or be hired as a paid employee of the Foundation or the school, anytime beginning their second term.
Requirements for Eligibility:
Has no derogatory record. A Filipino Citizen; Has no derogatory record and a Total Family income of not higher than PhP200,000.
Effectivity:
TERM: One school year, subject for renewal every term.
START: At the beginning of every first term of the school year.
Documentary Requirements:
For new applicants:
Applicants must submit all required forms and documents, as follows:
- Fully Accomplished Application for Financial Aid
- Two (2x2) Identification Photographs of Parents/ Legal Guardians of Applicant
- Two (2x2) Identification Photographs of Applicant
- Original copy of parents' Certificate of Employment from current employer indicating: compensation, last day of employment and length of service.
- Affidavit of Support from legal guardian, if parents are deceased or incapacitated
- High School Report Card –Form 138 and Diploma (for Freshmen)
- Barangay Certificate(indicating address of applicant and character record)
- Photocopy of Birth Certificate
- Photocopy of Income Tax Return (ITR) or original BIR certification of exemption
- Certification from HS Principal regarding Academic Achievement
For renewal:
- Fully Accomplished Renewal Form
- Photocopy of Grades, duly signed by the registrar
- Endorsement from the School Director, stating that the renewal student applicant does not violate any guidelines and policies within the school and the AMA Foundation, Inc.
- Photocopy of previous notice grant, signed by the chairman. (if applicable)

Selection Basis
Student-beneficiaries shall be selected on the overall grade-standings; and results of the AMA competitive examination and interviews, and his/her socio-economic status.
All information, documents, and data provided by student-applicant shall be held in strict confidence and will be solely for internal use of the school for evaluation purposes.
The scholarship shall be withdrawn from a student-beneficiary who withholds and/or falsifies information, without penalties that may imposed the school including but not limited to expulsion.
Expected Date of Announcement of Selected Scholars:
First (1 st ) week of start of classes of the First Trimester, every school year.
Application: Procedure:
The AMA Foundation Scholarship applicants must follow the procedures below:
- An applicant must pass the Competitive Examination of the AMA Foundation, Inc.
- Applicants must submit all required forms and documents prescribed by AMA Foundation and AMA Educational System.

Where to secure Application:
An Applicant can secure application to any AMA Computer College campuses, specifically at the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) or write directly to the AMA Foundation, Inc.
Where to File Application and Deadline:
An applicant can submit and file his/her application to the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) of any AMA branch or mail it to the AMA Foundation Office.
Examination (if applicable):
A competitive examination to choose the recipients of this scholarship is given.
Examination Coverage:
The competitive examination focuses on English Proficiency, Scientific Literacy and Numerical Ability.
Date and Venue of Examination:
The AMA Foundation, Inc., determines date and venue of the examination
Test Fee ( If any ): No testing fee is required in applying for AMA Foundation scholarship.
